I was born and raised in Sonoma, California in 1952. I started playing guitar at the age of 14. I played in a number of different bands through High School. One of the earliest groups was called Fluid Drive during the early 70s. I moved to Lake Tahoe Area and got in with a group called Canyon, and then later, another called Slim Leo. It was with Slim Leo that I met and started playing with Arney Pinelli. We focused on mostly original music and some of the songs we are performing now can be traced to work with Arney.

I took a hiatus from music for about 10 years and moved to Missouri in 1996. I began playing around town with various musicians and met up with John and Chuck. We jammed a few times and I was brought into what became known as Sweet Jayne.
